PRE-LICENSING COURSE - Property, Casualty,
& Surety |
| Unlike many other insurance
pre-licensing courses, our course was written by an individual who is a
licensed insurance professional, an approved insurance continuing education
provider, and a published writer. Linda Faulkner has over thirty years
experience in the insurance industry and is licensed as both a property &
casualty producer and consultant. She has developed and written
numerous seminars and texts that have been approved for continuing education
in a number of states, including Montana, Idaho, Washington, Massachusetts,
Nevada, and California. Linda is also a professional writer who, in
addition to publishing newspaper columns, magazine articles, and fiction
novels, has written and published insurance continuing education and
pre-licensing texts for Faulkner Education Services, three different state
insurance agents' associations, the adult education department of a
community college, and a number of national insurance continuing education
organizations. In addition to being the author of
our Property, Casualty, & Surety insurance pre-licensing course, Linda is
the instructor of the comprehensive 3-day, twenty-four hour classroom review
that can be purchased with the course. Because she continues to
actively work in the insurance industry as an insurance agent, and because
of her skills as a practicing insurance educator and trainer, her
presentation of the material includes not only the information required to
pass the licensing exam, but practical, hands-on information and examples to
help participants understand the technical details of property, casualty,
and surety insurance and apply them on the job.
We offer three different versions of our course for
purchase:
|
 | Printed course material, mailed to the purchaser, AND
the 3-day, 24-hour classroom review - $400 |
 | Printed course material only, mailed to the purchaser -
$200 |
 | Electronic course material, e-mailed to the purchaser
as a PDF document - $175 |
Our course material includes information about licensing
in the state of Montana, registration for the licensing exam via PearsonVue
(the state's testing vendor), insurance license exam Content Outlines, a
Glossary of Insurance Terms, chapter review questions with answer keys, and
exam-taking hints--in addition to all the insurance and law content that
will be covered on the licensing exams.
Please note: Our experience, and that of the
testers at the PearsonVue test centers, indicates that individuals who read
the course material on their own, attend the classroom review, AND test on
the Saturday immediately following the 3-day classroom review pass their
licensing exams at a far higher rate than test takers who do not attend the
classroom review or who take their exam one or more weeks after attending
the classroom review. |
|
|
It is YOUR responsibility to
register for your licensing exam(s).
Pearson Vue, the
state's vendor for licensing exams, runs various test centers--one of which
is located at the University of Montana in Missoula. Individuals
taking the licensing exam will be presented with questions drawn from a pool
of many, many questions. The Property exam allows 2 hours; the
Casualty exam allows 2 hours; and the Surety exam allows 30 minutes.
We hold our courses from 8am - 5pm Wednesday through Friday during weeks
when the Missoula test center holds exams on that Saturday. |
|
| No refunds will
be given once course material has been shipped or e-mailed.
Participants who do not pass their licensing exam after attending our
classroom review may re-take the classroom review at no charge. You
may make a down-payment of $75 to reserve your seat at one of our classroom
reviews; shipment of your workbook and materials will be made upon our
receipt of the balance of your payment. If you wish to purchase
printed/electronic material only, we must receive payment in full before
mailing your course. |
